Kermit may be the first Muppet and now the most famous, but Rowlf the Dog was the first to star in a national TV show. Rowlf was on The Jimmy Dean Show. In fact, his fan mail actually surpassed that of Jimmy! Here he is with Jimmy and an unidentified Collie (Lassie, I think).
